Adventures with Kate....
Just spent a few days with my sweet sis-in-law, Kate! While she was here we did all sorts of fun stuff: we visited a few lighthouses, went to Monhegan Island, played Mexican Train until midnight and ate a good deal of seafood! It was a lovely visit! Come again soon, Kate.
Say hello to our little friend......
Meet our newest neighbor! He has just moved into a hole behind our house and has been seen on MULTIPLE occasions. This morning we were having a peek into his hole thinking he would be in there when Mr. M heard a sound in the woods behind us! It was the skunk!!! We moved off slowly and he didn't seem to mind that we were there. Catastrophe averted!
Stampin' Up!!!!
I went to my very first Stampin' Up party the other night and it was a ton of fun! I wanted one of everything! Here are the cards we made at the party!
Home again, home again....
We got to go home for the first time in over a YEAR last month! We were only home for a few days and they really flew by. But a great time was had by all and it was definitely worth four days (round trip) of driving.
Our Moms cooked us some of the best food known to man so it goes without saying that I gained about five pounds a day!!!!! (That's what it felt like anyway!)

I love a good family game of baseball! Our oldest nephew had written up a roster of who would be on each team. If we had played his way, all the men would have been on his team and all the women and small children on the other!!!
I thank the Lord for giving us such wonderful families! We love and miss you guys and can't wait to see you again.

Ho-hum...Another Little Felt Cake
Hello my friends!!! I am such a bad blogger lately! I don't mean to be and I am very sorry for it. There has not been too many interesting things going on lately but I did finish another little felt cake. And I did take a picture of it with my new macro lens! Here is the little cake.
My stitching is horrid, I know! But I am sure that my far off, future little daughter will be glad to have a tea party with it notwithstanding! And here is photo to show you what my nifty little macro lens is capable of. This is a picture of the little felt strawberry that goes on the first felt cake that I made. I thought I would hold it so you can see how very small it is.

Update!
I don't have anything very exciting to relate but we have been keeping ourselves pretty busy lately. A few weeks ago we had some friends over and had a delicious Southern inspired supper. Thanks to my mom's advice, the brisket turned out so tender that no knives were needed, and it was delicious.
It seems like I am always blogging about food! We have been going to a marriage building sunday school and are working on a series about encouraging you spouse and it got me to thinking that making a good meal is one of my ways of showing love to my husband. I know I don't do it for me because when he isn't around I just don't cook!
We went to the Kittery Trading Post in Kittery, Maine last weekend with some friends and boy did the guys have a great time. It is a very outdoorsy type of store. Mr. M. really liked this t-shirt. Guess now I know what to get him for his birthday this year.
